Fantastic food. Serves until 9 p.m. . Chicken katsu is my favorite
Gyoza was wonderful! Love the ginger salad dressing.
Very pricy for what it is. Some decent dishes. Poor preparation and construction of sushi and nigiri. $30 cuts of fish that should only cost $10.2/5 - would not return
Sushi is always fresh and tastes great. I am a huge fan of good sushi and this is one of my favorite locations in Memphis
Good Japanese place. No wonder it has better reviews than other locations
Great place for dine in or take out. High quality, excellent service, fast and friendly. Fairly quiet atmosphere too. Always a fine experience.
Fantastic Service, the staff are extremely polite and very quick.Great food, whether you go for the sushi, the pork cutlet, or the udon it's always great! My advice try the red bean ice cream, it is fantastic!Amazing atmosphere, it's very cozy, comfortable seating, clean and feels very relaxed. Great place to unwind a bit.Overall excellent quality and a must try if you ever have a chance!
Sushi is great, I love the Jacksonville roll. Parking is limited but service is stellar.
Real Japanese food by Japanese chef
Small, but nice atmosphere.
The staff was friendly and the vegetable tempura was great, but the Tuna on yellow tail Tuna jalapeno and the spicy Tuna roll did not seem to be fresh. We could not finish either one. We mentioned it to the staff, but they (of course) said it was fresh. We have been back but only ordered tempura and Udon. It will be a long time before we try any form of their fish again.
This is a great place so eat sushi. I really enjoy this location. The staff is always so friendly.
Horrible experience! We waited 15 minutes and no one came to ask for our order or offer a glass of water. I couldn't help but to notice that my husband and I were the only Africa American customers so unfortunately I felt like we were the victims of small mindednesssince since everyone else was recieving service except for us. We decided to stop waiting and left. As we were walking out, a waitress said thank you for coming. How ironic! We are currently at Red Koi right down the street. I'm so glad we came here! Red koi has an extensive menu selection and the food is great! Most importantly the service was very good.
Small, intimate, quiet setting. Friendly and professional wait staff and chefs. Great prices and delicious sushi! I treat myself at least once a month or so.
Fantastic. The freshest sushi I've had in Memphis, I'll definitely be back.
A place where you can experience delicious Japanese cuisine!! Staffs were nice and the dishes were just perfect!!!
there is no no better sushi in .Memphis. You will love it!
Fresh quality ingredients with creative presentation. Friendly knowledgeable service.
The food tastes great. I love the shrimp tempura!
Fantastic service and food
Sushi was good. Chicken Teriyaki was ok. Service was fantastic.
Went here for my Birthday treat from the SO. Good service. Good food. Nothing spectacular. So far i have tried Sakura and Rock N Roll sushi in Germantown. I would rate this place between the two with Sakura being tops. I thought the portions were smaller. This place isn’t bad but I suggest you try Sakura first if you’re looking for Sushi in and around Germantown, TN.
Best sushi I've ever had. Fish is beautiful and fresh, and it tastes clean and not fishy. They don't overdo the sauces either, which lets you taste the quality of the seafood. We haven't tried the offerings on the blackboard yet, but I love that they have such a variety of interesting options. Service is stellar too, and the restaurant itself has nice ambience too.
Poor selection of food items. Does not have ordinary Japanese dishes on the menu.
Yummy and Clean Restrooms.
I eat here at least once a week for lunch & order the 3 roll combo with a side order of gyoza. Every dish I order is prepared just as it is supposed to be. I've always been treated with respect & kindness by the employees. The parking lot is a little difficult to navigate but no spots are far from the entrance.
Good and fresh food
this is one of my favorite sushi restaurants basically because of the exclusive types of sushi that they offer. One of my favorite things to get is something I learned about in New York, which is a roll made of sea urchin, salmon Roe, and a quail egg! The atmosphere is excellent and they have a very good sake selection. The servers are friendly and the sushi chefs are authentic and fantastic!
I looooooove Sekisui East!! The staff here are wonderful and the Sushi is always amazingly fresh and delicious. I have NEVER had a bad experience here.
I’m not the one to review but I’m gonna leave a couple from my travels. This place was good, even though I never dined in, my experience from takeout was great. I’m always skeptical of trying sushi from any restaurant, especially from a land locked state but their tuna was always good. Same goes for all the fish I tried. The nabeyaki udon was excellent, so definitely try that. This place reminded me of my parents restaurant and I’ll definitely return if I’m back in the area. Also the waitress was very nice.
Great authentic sushi place!
This is one of the better sushi establishments in Memphis. I go to Red Koi if I want glammed up rolls that rely on the sauces and spices for flavor. This establishment is more traditional and the ingredients higher quality in my opinion.
Very nice quality of sushi and sashimi. Probably the best freshness in Memphis. However, the second to my last visit was not the most pleasant; the server put extra charge on my soup and salad which are supposed to be included in the dinner menu. The manager-like person even insisted that those are not included - until I showed her exactly what they have written on their own menu saying soup and salad included. In contrast, fortunately, the last visit was fairly nice.
The mi mi roll is definitely worth trying!
The most tasty sushi in town. I luv all sekisui restaurants, but this location is just a top notch!
Good food and service, always enjoy it
The food was wonderful but service was pretty slow.
Perfect!!!!! Friendly staff, beautiful setting. The food is so so good and you have got to get the fried cheese cake, please leave enough room to eat this dessert.
In good company....
The most traditional sushi restaurant you will find anywhere in the south. Fatty tuna and uni are fantastic. Try the beef tataki appetizer.
When the sushi urge hits Sekisui East, never fails to satisfy the craving. They have a daily fresh board with amazing fresh sashimi offerings. Chef gentle moves me from a cooked sushi customer, to exploring more authentic uncooked options.
Great staff and sushi. Sushi chef's are awesome at this location, sushi lunch specials are hard to beat.
Great food, friendly staff.
Delicious sushi, friendly servers, nice atmosphere
Love love the creativity and the tuna cheek!
What a find! Easy atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff; a good thing for this novice sushi eater. Affordable and comfortable
One of my favorite places for lunch
Very good Sushi and usually not extremely busy. The women's restroom has a cool toilet so my wife tells me.
It has good variety, nice presentation. Not really flexible with shellfish content(like the crab and shrimp) was told $3-4 upcharge for substitution. Little step but ok. Very polite . just not an every day place.
Rude service. The location doesn’t even dry rice or have scallops. Really disappointed. I will never return. Lost a good customer due to this trifling experience.
